Last year, I went to the Design Festival and it was really amazing! As a graphic designer I had the oportunity to visit many design studios and installations around all the city. It is realy nice, really big and you should go even if you don't work with design and you are a designer consumer!!! Go see what the designers are doing!</div>

Last year I did the graphic design walk. It was crazy because they had many studios to walk to and visit and they told me to chose 3 and I visited all of them! After that my feet were sore for one week! But it was unbelievable! </div>

 If you are in London and want to do a short travel, I recommend you go to this small and amazing city, two hours from London by train, you can buy the tickets at this site <a href="http://www.southernrailway.com/">http://www.southernrailway.com/</a>, Buying in advance is always cheaper.<br />I also reccomend to book a hostel in advance because the city is normally full at weekends.  2 days with sun  is good  enough to visit all the city *<b>if you are a good walker</b>*!</div>

Geffrye Museum

This small and beautiful museum located in Hackney (near my house, lol) is an inspirational place, with an amazing sequence of decoration of living rooms through time. This museum explains a lot of things about London houses through the centuries. They also have an amazing cafe and a garden, where you can go and read a book or relax in the sun.<br />

Visitors to the Geffrye can view our permanent display of eleven 
period rooms which span approximately 400 years from around 1600 to the 
present day. There is also a walled herb garden and a series of four 
period gardens, chronologically arranged to reflect the museum's period 
rooms, which can be visited between 1 April and 31 October. To the front
 of the museum there is a large garden facing onto Kingsland Road, which
 has recently been refurbished. Additionally, there is a restored 
18th-century almshouse, open to visitors on selected days, which has 
been taken back to its original condition and provides a glimpse into 
the lives of London's poor and elderly in the 1780s and 1880s.<br />

We know that not everyone is able to visit the Geffrye in person so 
we are always looking to create new ways for online visitors to 
experience the museum more fully. We have recently added panoramas of 
all the period rooms, gardens and almshouse rooms, which provide a 
highly detailed, immersive way to experience the museum. There is also 
our online Virtual Tour which offers a timeline through the museum and 
gardens and highlights significant objects and plants. You will also 
find short descriptions of all the rooms and gardens, adding context to 
the new visual material.<br />

Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew

I can't believe I didn't talk about Kew Botanical Gardens yet.<br />
So my husband's uncle talked about this place and we didn't imagine how wonderful it is, so we went there last year, arriving late around 15:00h because we never wake up early, and we got to see 80% of the park.<br />
So I reccomend you go early, before lunch time, and make a picnic. Of course near the park is a Tesco, so you can buy something there - everybody does this.<br />

It is a giant, very beautiful and well conserved park. But today I got choked again, I went to Saatchi Photo Gallery!<br />
It was an amazing space for expositions and events.<br />
It is near the Sloane Square station in Kings Road. I didn't know this place. The gallery is giant and bealtiful and around it are a lot of expensive stores and restaurants. A Taschen store!!! Well dressed people in the streets, like I imagined London was before coming. LOL

Wake up early! Go out early!<br />
Yes people go out for night clubs around 17:00h and come back at 23:30.<br />
After 24:00 you need to take a taxi, because the underground closes at this time.<br />
In Brasil I went out at 23:00 and came back at 02:00.<br />
Pubs close at one in the night.<br />
Stores close at 17:00-18:00. Some of them near Christmas close late.<br />
Restaurants usually close at 22:00.<br />
Some night clubs close late, around 02:00, and few go all night long.<br />
Take care!!! Do a program research beforehand about the club you are going to!!!
