I like this museum but it is always full. Probably because is behind Trafalgar Square, close to Piccadilly Circus and lots of restaurants. But it is a museum with pieces like:

The Water-Lily Pond 1899, Claude-Oscar Monet

Salome receives the Head of John the Baptist 1607-10, Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio

Virgin of the Rocks, 1495-1508 Leonardo da Vinci

Michelangelo, Botticelli, Goya.
                                                                      !!!

At room 43 you can see the display of Manet, Monet and the Impressionists.
When I was child I really liked impressionist art - mainly Monet and his flowers. Afterwards, in the university at art history classes, I learned more about impressionism and all art movements and fell in love with art history.
I consider this an important information: behind The National Gallery is The National Portrait Gallery, with lots of portraits of important Brits like William Shakespeare and the Tudors! I was really impressed when I saw here or in other countries the pictures that were in my elementary school books.
I recommend these museums, you can visit both in one evening.
Kisses! Until the next post!
