My first impression about Primark wasn't good, of course, but after checking the prices it changed! :P<br />
<br />
They can sell things for this price because they probably import thousands and thousands of pairs of jeans - for example, it makes the price of the material lower, and they probably have a team of really good purchase managers in China.<br />
<br />
There in China they don't have fidelity, they want to sell. Because of this, you can find the same bag in Accessorize and in Primark (see pictures).<br />
And because a thing came from China it doesn't mean it is badly made. If you went to a factory in China and ask for improvements in their products, they can do it for you.<br />
<br />
So I really recommend to spend 90% of your money in no brand things and the other part in perfumes and brand things. If you really need quality clothes go to French Connection.<br />

Hackney's first warm day in the year!!

Today we went to central Hackney to see about documentation and I took some pictures, everybody is happy and the park is full. I took some pictures of London fields and of streets around the neighborhood.<br />
<br />
I like this neighborhood; our housemate told us this is the poorest neighborhood in London; this is very, very funny when you came from Brazil.<br />

Afterwards, in the university at art history classes, I  learned more about impressionism and all art movements and fell in love with art history.</span></span></div><div style="font-weight: normal;"><span lang="en"><span></span></span></div><div style="font-weight: normal;">I consider this an important information: behind  The National Gallery is The National Portrait Gallery, with lots of  portraits of important Brits like  William Shakespeare<span> and the Tudors! Tate Modern Yayoi Kusama

<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">We traveled to Paris for three days last year, I will talk more about it in the future but now I want to talk about one single exposition when we were there.<br />
We went to  Pompidou Museum (One unbelievable place) and we had the opportunity to see the exposition of Yayoi Kusama and now this exposition is in Tate Modern Museum in London.<br />
We went to Tate today because i thought the exposition was free admission, but it wasn't, so we decided to not see the exposition again and bought the book about the artist by Frances Morris.<br />
The story of the life of this artist is suffering but for me what was transmitted was madness in the sense of happiness she works basically with colorful dots and afterwards she develops an new idea about accumulations.</div><div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The accumulations of the life: she shows notes of money, tickets, phalluses... this exposition is from 1960. So she was a woman, an artist, a revolutionary, Japanese and transformed her mental ilness into amazing instalations trying to show us her hallucinations.<br />

In the mid to late 1960s, when her solo public performances expanded into participatory happenings. A product of the postwar Avant-garde, which almost immediately crossed over into popular culture, or at least underground counter culture, happenings developed as unconventional performance events increasingly relying on audience reaction and direct participation. Kusama’s happenings, known as ‘body festivals’ — or ‘orgies’, as they were often sensationally reported in the mainstream press — typically provided platforms for spontaneous and improvisatory behaviour within conceptual and aesthetic frameworks determined by the artist. Often involving public nudity — the artist hoped to contrast the beauty of the youthful human body with the violence of the US–Vietnam War — they challenged prevailing moral frameworks.<br />
Since 1977 Kusama has lived voluntarily in a psychiatric institution,  and much of her work has been marked with obsessiveness and a desire to  escape from psychological trauma. Polka dots, the trademark of “Kusama Happening”. Red, green and yellow polka dots can be the circles representing the earth, the sun, or the moon. Their shapes and what they signify do not really matter. I paint polka dots on the bodies of people, and with those polka dots, the people will self-obliterate and return to the nature of the universe.<br />

Saturday in Notting Hill

Today was a  surprise day. We decided to go to the Museum of Brands, Packaging and Advertising, so we took the train to Notting Hill gate  station then we walked through Portobello Road and found an amazing  antique fair, so we took much longer to arrive in the museum. We  bought the book Independent London Store Guide, by Moritz Steiger and  Effie Fotaki. After that we got lost and decided to have lunch in  Daylesford (Organic Farm Gloucestershire) A really nice place. <br />
After that we went to the museum. It was really nice; it was in a small  street so you really need a map to arrive. The museum has lots of packaging  from 1900 until now.<br />
For me the most interesting part was the difference in the packaging in 1940 when  the war was announced, and at the end of the gallery where some brands  show the evolution of the packaging. And of course the part about Guinness  advertising.<br />

My favorite museum in London is V&A. For me the best part is the ceramics sector. If you like this subject too, I recommend starting a visit at sector 6 (see the map).I really recommend, if you are a designer, interested in design, a museum geek or just a woman, to save 3 days for this museum.<br />

- About V&A Museum.<br />
The Victoria and Albert Museum's collections spans over a thousand  years of art in virtually every medium, from many parts of the world.  Visitors to the museum encounter a treasure house of amazing and  beautiful objects.<br />
The Museum was established in 1852, following the enormous success of  the Great Exhibition the previous year. The founding principle of the  originator, Sir Henry Cole, was to make works of art available to all,  to educate the working people and to inspire British designers and  manufacturers. Profits from the Exhibition were used to establish the  Museum of Manufacturers, as it was initially known, and exhibits were  purchased to form the basis of its collections.<br />
The Museum moved to its present site in 1857 and was renamed the  South Kensington Museum. Led by innovation, a high-tech gas lighting  system enabled the museum to stay open until 10pm, three nights a week  to attract the working man to the contemplation of art and design. In  1899, Queen Victoria laid the foundation stone of the new façade and  renamed the building the Victoria and Albert Museum.<br />
Throughout the 20th and 21st centuries, the collection has continued  to grow. Since 2000, the Future Plan Project has revitalised the  galleries and increased access to the collections internationally and  the V&A has been in the vanguard of the digitisation of the heritage  sector.<br />
