Tourism in London!!!

Who lives in or has already visited Europe knows tourism here isn't for relaxation ... I mean, if you want to see everything you will be stressed. You can't see everything if you stay for less than 3 months. I think there's a reason they give a 6 month tourism visa! If you will stay for a short period you need to do the bus tourism travel, one day for shopping at oxford and one day for Hyde Park or parks ...

Last month we hosted my husband's parents and I made this schedule:

1 - Westminster + Tour to Westminster Abbey + London Eye
2 - Oxford
3 - Victoria and Albert Museum
4 - Stratford Shopping Centre
5 - British Museum
6 - Kew Gardens
7 - London Zoo
8 - Windsor Castle
9 - Oxford with mother-in-law / Science museum with father-in-law.
10 - Changing the Guard + Piccadilly + Oxford + London Bridge at night.
11 - Shoreditch at morning.

The first difficulty we had was to have a cheap lunch, I was ashamed to give them a meal deal at Boots, or in general. I think at morning the food there is fresh but at lunch time it is already spoiled because they don't freeze it properly. The museum and the parks have good restaurants with average prices like 14.00£ per person. In Windsor I recommend a Greek restaurant called Latino. Around 13.00£.

In Oxford we ate at Costa Cafe, The Subs etc. around 8/10.00£ per person.

In Shoreditch there is a good place to eat hamburgers in front of the famous music shop Rough Trade, 5,00£ per person.

The second problem was to keep cool about the crowded tube during commuting hours.

The third was to control the curiosity and respect the body fatigue - it is really difficult to see everything.

We managed these problems and in the end they really liked the city. When somebody over 40 comes to London, I recommend doing things away from the crowded places.
