Prism presents an alternative view of London, exposing unseen data flows in the capital through a sculptural, immersive interface suspended in the V&A’s uppermost cupola. The installation is an investigation into the virtual life of the city, and our own often ambiguous relationship with the data that controls our lives.</div>

First time visitors to the London Design Festival are often blown away by the scale and variousness of the city they've come to. How do you even begin to represent such complexity?</div>

London-based designer, digital artist and film-maker Keiichi Matsuda's Prism presents an ingenious window on that complexity, using data to depict the ever changing nature of the capital. His formidable digital installation at the V&A - a giant, sculptural lantern - is made up from a series of screens through which fast moving data streams are visualised, coaxed into unfolding shapes and patterns of light and colour.</div>

From transport data to economic statistics, Matsuda's Prism feeds on the digital outputs of the city and transforms them into an astonishing living patchwork. Here at the London Design Festival we love to open up new spaces in the city. Keiichi Matsuda's installation, commissioned by Veuve Clicquot, is installed in the cupola of the V&A's Ceramics galleries and best seen by climbing staircases never previously opened to the public. </div>

It’s a given that light changes space, but in Walk The Light it becomes you, the visitor, who determines that change in the lighting. Your movement through the V&A Exhibition Road Tunnel Entrance will directly control this innovative lighting installation.</div>

This stunning interactive lighting design project by Dominic Harris, and his team at Cinimod Studio, creates a band of white light that physically follows the visitor, forming a bright line of light tracking their journey. As one person passes, the white light jumps to the next arrival. Either side of the white band, washes of strong colour are pushed and pulled along the tunnel creating an ambient lighting effect that represents the overall ebb and flow of the day’s visitors. Throughout the day<br />
it is expected there will be a shift in the hue and saturation of these colours as they respond to the prevailing direction of movement of the crowds.</div>

Using a combination of technologies, including thermal camera tracking and Philips LED lighting mounted on a moving monorail, Walk the Light demonstrates lighting design’s increasing sophistication as it playfully – and beautifully – transforms the experience of arriving at the museum.</div>

Visitors move their arms up and down and the lights make it appear as if they were flying.</span></div>

We always hear about sound design but it is quite dificult to witness it. Interaction design is realy nice when the ambient interacts with your senses. In Brasil we have examples of this in the Portuguese Language Museum and in the Perfume Museum in São Paulo. Technology in favor of user interactivity making something simple into something unbelievable.</div>

Conceptual designer Rolf Sachs has responded to the grandeur of the V&A's Henry Cole Wing Grand Staircase with an evocative installation that fully exploits the soaring height of the ornate space, which is open to the public for the very first time during the Festival. </div>

There is a purity to the concept of this installation: individual drops of three primary-coloured inks are released from the great height of the staircase in measured intervals. Spectators are able to watch the drops of ink land with precision into a vast glass tank of illuminated liquid, exploding into organic colour clouds; each one different and mesmerising in form.</div>

Upon arrival visitors are welcomed by choreographed soundscapes of droplets hitting the liquid; the sound amplifying through the space. ''As the drops commence their journey, there will be a sense of anticipation, followed by a visual spectacle.' states Sachs. "Each drop within the sequence creates a unique and magical colour explosion, mysteriously disappearing moments later.''</div>

I've already talked about <a href="http://karyn-abroadinlondon.blogspot.co.uk/2012/03/tate-modern-kusama-yayoi.html">Kusama</a>, she  is in vogue now here in Europe because she have been sponsored by the brand Louis Vuitton, now one of the most the famous stores here in London did an amazing work decorating all the front of the store with her polka dots!!! It is amazing to see one artist (female) be so valued like this!<br />
The marketing project was really strong, was nice to watch it growing and now they're launching the collection! of course, successful.<br />

Last year, I went to the Design Festival and it was really amazing! As a graphic designer I had the oportunity to visit many design studios and installations around all the city. It is realy nice, really big and you should go even if you don't work with design and you are a designer consumer!!! Go see what the designers are doing!</div>

Last year I did the graphic design walk. It was crazy because they had many studios to walk to and visit and they told me to chose 3 and I visited all of them! After that my feet were sore for one week! But it was unbelievable! </div>

 If you are in London and want to do a short travel, I recommend you go to this small and amazing city, two hours from London by train, you can buy the tickets at this site <a href="http://www.southernrailway.com/">http://www.southernrailway.com/</a>, Buying in advance is always cheaper.<br />I also reccomend to book a hostel in advance because the city is normally full at weekends.  2 days with sun  is good  enough to visit all the city *<b>if you are a good walker</b>*!</div>
